Bethel Emergency Workers Train For Mass Casualty Incident
The emergency workers walked through active-shooter protocols with the assistance of the Bethel Police Department.
BETHEL, CT — In the spirit of being "prepared for the worst," Bethel Fire & EMS hosted a mass casualty incident training event on Monday night, as part of its weekly EMS drill.
Participants, which included members of Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company and Roxbury EMS, practiced a school bus accident scenario. Bethel Public Schools provided both the school bus and student volunteers for the accident scenario.
The emergency workers also walked through active-shooter protocols with the assistance of the Bethel Police Department, and refreshed on triage and incident management, according to Bethel Fire & EMS officials.
