Join us at the Ridgefield Library on Monday, August 10th at 7:00 pm as popular lecturer Michael Langlois returns with the program, A Brief History of Acting: From Ancient Greek to Modern Day.  Please register.

This lecture will trace the evolution of Western acting styles. How did we go from the presentational styles of Ancient Greek Tragedies to the "Methos" of Modern acting? Follow the winding trail and discover the cultural/historical influences that have brought us to what we now see on modern stages and movie screens.

Michael Langlois is a performer, lecturer and storyteller with decades of experience on stage and off. He has lectured on topics ranging from acting and directing to using one’s passions to bridge divides and engage with others. He has directed across New England, including performances for the Hartford Children’s Theatre, Springfield’s Drama Studio, and the Ashford Youth Theatre, where he worked for nearly 20 years as Artistic Director.
