Bridge: Class for Newer Players This class is for bridge players who have some knowledge of bridge. The class will be using Stayman, Jacoby transfers, Blackwood, take-out doubles, and negative doubles so players recognize when to use each. We will be building bidding skills and defensive skills. We do this through playing hands which gives players an opportunity to learn play-of-the-hand skills as well. Instructor Mary Watson-Stribula has been teaching bridge in both New Canaan and Ridgefield for over nine years. She is currently working towards her life master designation. She is an enthusiastic and patient bridge teacher. Class size limited. Makeup, if necessary, is added to the end of the class.&nbsp;

 Bridge: Intermediate This class is for bridge players with experience in playing duplicate or rubber bridge. The class will be 2 or 3 tables playing the same hands and then comparing results and piecing together what made for the best bidding and play. Some lessons will be on defensive signals. Others will reflect both the interests of the class and the instructor's observations of what is needed by the players. Instructor Mary Watson-Stribula has been teaching bridge in both New Canaan and Ridgefield for over nine years. She is currently working towards her life master designation. Basic Digital Camera Operation Need help understanding how to use your DSLR camera? Is the instruction manual that came with it almost impossible to understand? bring your DSLR or mirrorless camera and manual to this class. This course will guide you to knowing how to take pictures you can be proud of and having a good knowledge of photography in general. All relevant buttons and switches will be explained so that your picture will come out well exposed and sharply focused. Whether you are interested in photographing your friends and family, nature, landscapes or sports, this course will certainly enhance your talents. You will learn how to freeze the action in sports; create beautiful portraits with that blurry background, and use your flash as professional fashion and wedding photographers do.. We’ll also look at the Photos tool on the iPhone to teach you how to edit and organize your photos. Please have your iPhone at class so you can try out the different tools and tricks that we cover. Feng Shui Walk in Ridgefield Come follow the path of energy through Ridgefield. After learning the principles of feng shui - how chi flows, the power of opposites, yin/yang, and the alchemy of the five elements - Christine Persche, feng shui and design specialist, will lead a walk through the heart of town and see its applications everywhere. A good way to practice looking through a feng shui lens to help illuminate and bring balance to your own living and working spaces. Instructor Christine Persche is a design librarian, certified Feng Shui consultant, graduate of Pratt Institute, and LEED Accredited Professional. LaBlast Fitness ® Cardio Dance Workout with Light Weights You will get your heart rate up and sweat a bit with this aerobic workout created by Louis Van Amstel of Dancing with the Stars. LaBlast® is a partner-free, simple, low impact, safe, cardio / ballroom dance workout for all levels. Some exercises use optional light weights. There is no mat. It's fun and energizing. Beginners are encouraged to attend. Wear sneakers and bring light hand weights (if you have them) and a water bottle. Instructor Denise Nethercott started ballroom dancing in 2011 and has successfully competed as an amateur ballroom dancer with Fred Astaire Dance Studios. She is an Open Gold level dancer with numerous accomplishments. She placed first at the National Dance Championship competition in Florida and is the winner of many Regional competitions throughout these years - both Championship and Scholarship rounds. She is proficient in both American and International styles. Denise's mission is to combine her passion for ballroom dance with her passion for physical fitness. Upon discovering LaBlast® Fitness, she knew right away, this was for her. LaBlast® is a fun, safe exercise program that combines the love of dance with the need to move our bodies. Denise became a certified LaBlast® Fitness instructor in 2019 and started Dance Fit with Denise in 2021.

Welcome the season with a beautiful, handcrafted wreath! In this 1 1/2 hour workshop, you'll get all supplies (flowers, greenery, ribbon) to decorate a winter wreath to take home. Perfect for all skill levels – just bring your creativity. Spaces are limited, sign up now! A supply fee of approximately $19 to 21 will be collected at the first class. Class size limited. 
 
Instructor Valerie Kirincich graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA in Illustration and the New York Academy of Art with a MFA in Figurative Fine Art. Upon graduation, she freelanced as an illustrator and worked for several Manhattan ad agencies as a graphic designer and art director. She is currently the full time art teacher at Greenwich Catholic School. Valerie believes that art is not only about technical skill, but about discovering a new way to see the world. She enjoys teaching and motivating students of all ages to learn and grow through art!

Event Dance Bootcamp. . . Beginner / Brush Up 
Dancing should be FUN! Learn social dancing to a variety of music for parties, weddings, cruises and dance events. Class size limited. You will learn a sampling of ballroom and club dances, such as basic Rumba, Cha-Cha, East Coast Swing and some club style dances. Great for beginners and for those who have been away from dance for awhile. A fun, no stress way to learn how to move on the dance floor. Registration is now open for Music on the Hill's after school music programs for kids! 
Children's Chorus is open to all kids in grades 2 through 6 who love to sing! Rehearsals are Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m., starting October 1. In Children’s Chorus, children build a musical foundation through singing. Children will learn vocal technique and breath support, music and rhythm reading, pitch and listening skills, and more. Through being part of the ensemble, children will build confidence, and skills in teamwork and leadership. 
Cultural Drum &amp; Fun is open to children of all ages, including young children with a caregiver. Sessions are Wednesdays from 4:15 to 5:00 p.m., starting September 23. Cultural Drum &amp; Fun is an opportunity for youth, family and friends to explore the wonderful world of music through drumming. Authentic instruments from Africa, Brazil and beyond add to the cultural and musical education and enhance the experience!

REDDING CENTER, CT — A Redding tradition returns this fall as the First Church of Christ, Congregational welcomes the community to its 44th Annual Artisan Fair on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
For more than four decades, the Artisan Fair has brought together neighbors, families, and visitors from across Fairfield County for a day filled with handcrafted artwork, delicious homemade food, live entertainment, shopping, children’s activities, and one of the area’s largest community tag sales. Best of all, admission is free.
<h3>Discover One-of-a-Kind Artisan Creations</h3>
Nearly 50 local and regional artisans will transform the church grounds into an outdoor marketplace featuring handcrafted jewelry, pottery, woodworking, fiber arts, photography, paintings, home décor, gourmet specialties, and much more.
“In addition to welcoming many of our favorite returning artisans, we’re excited to introduce several talented new exhibitors this year,” said Kara Morgan, Artisan Fair Coordinator. “Whether you’re beginning your holiday shopping or simply looking for something unique, you’ll find beautiful handcrafted pieces created by incredibly talented artists.”

One of the Fair’s most anticipated attractions is the Giant Tag Sale inside Ahlberg Hall, where bargain hunters can browse an incredible selection of household items, collectibles, seasonal decorations, sporting goods, toys, books, furniture, and much more.
Visitors won’t want to miss the popular Jewelry Boutique, featuring an impressive collection of vintage, costume, and fine jewelry, along with scarves, handbags, and fashion accessories.
Just across the campus, the historic Studio—an 18th-century carriage workshop—will once again host the Barn Sale, showcasing antiques, artwork, collectibles, and distinctive home furnishings.

Our Artisan Fair would be complete without the homemade favorites that have become a tradition all their own. Church volunteers will once again serve fresh apple pie, homemade Congregational soup, grilled burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, sausage and peppers, veggie burgers, fries, popcorn, refreshing drinks, and other delicious treats throughout the day.
Guests can also purchase seasonal mums, pumpkins, gourds, and cornstalks while enjoying live entertainment on the church grounds.

The Keelers are a music duo from Redding, CT who entangle harmonies, old and new songs, and community connection.
Enchanted Garden Dancers (12:00 PM -12:45 PM)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Returning by popular demand, the Enchanted Garden Dancers will once again delight our audience with energetic performances showcasing a variety of dance styles that captivated Fairgoers last year.

Snakeskin Boots Band (1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.) 
Snakeskin Boots Band is an American Country Rock Band from Fairfield County Connecticut, with a mix of original songs and covers. Their voices and musical songwriting style bring a unique sound. Kurt's rich, deep rocking quality, and Helen's warm soulful touches fill a distinctive sound into our music. Performances are filled with energy and passion, showcasing chemistry on stage.

<h3>Win Big in the Great Raffle</h3>
Visitors can also try their luck in the Fair’s Great Raffle, featuring more than 50 exciting prizes generously donated by local businesses and supporters.
