Forensic science is the application of science to matters of law. Over the last century, it has evolved from a relatively obscure part of the criminal justice system into a household name. This presentation at the Ridgefield Library on Tuesday, October 27th at 7:00 pm introduces the basic concepts and techniques of the field, highlighting real criminal cases solved using these methods.
Presenter Ted Schwartz has been a forensic scientist for 35 years and is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of New Haven in the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences.
This program is part of the Library's 2026 Scholarly Series, Whodunits, Locked Rooms & Amateur Sleuths: Investigating the World of Mysteries, supported by the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.
