Dr. Mark Schenker, formerly of Yale College, returns to the Ridgefield Library for a three-part lecture series on Literary Detectives. Programs will be online via Zoom, and Mark will be available following each lecture for questions and comments from patrons who can contact him by email.
Author of more than 60 detective novels, Agatha Christie (1880-1976) is surpassed in readership only by the Bible and William Shakespeare. In addition to selling two billion copies of novels, she created detectives as different as Hercule Poirot in 1920 and Miss Marple in 1927.
This program takes place online on Wednesday, October 28th at 7:00 pm. Please register for the Zoom link.
No advance reading is required.
This program is part of the Library’s 2026 Scholarly Series, Whodunits, Locked Rooms & Amateur Sleuths: Investigating the World of Mysteries, sponsored by the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.
