Cause of Ridgefield Condo Fire Ruled Accidental
An elderly woman was killed in the fire at 15 Cook Close.

The April condo fire in Ridgefield that left a 78-year-old woman dead has been ruled accidental, NBC Connecticut reports.
According to NBC, an “energized electrical appliance” sparked the fire at the two-story condo on 15 Cook Close.
Sandra Reyes died in the April 23 fire.
Joseph and Raphael Reyes tried to rescue their mother, who had become trapped in the upstairs bedroom.
Joseph Reyes was also severely burned in the fire. His condition is unknown at this time, NBC reports.
