Coronavirus: Ridgefield High School Cancels Midterm Exams
School officials announced this week that the exams have been cancelled. No decision has yet been made regarding final exams.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The latest casualty of the coronavirus pandemic won't be mourned by many, especially students at Ridgefield High School.
RHS Principal Jacob Greenwood notified families Tuesday that midterm exams would be cancelled.
"Many different factors informed this decision made by the Leadership Team at RHS," Greenwood wrote in the explanation. "While it is challenging to administer these types of summative assessments in a hybrid environment, we also know that these days at the end of the semester would be better used to regain some of our lost instructional time."
No decision has yet been made regarding final exams.
Ridgefield High School and the town's two middle schools remain on a hybrid learning model.
