REDDING, CT — Several crashes and a DUI were atthe top of the Redding Police Department's blotter last week.

On Mar. 28 in the area of Route 107 and Mohawk Trail, police saw a motorist cross over the center line of Route 107 and almost into another approaching vehicle. Police charged Kate Broudy, 52, of Godfrey Hill Road in Weston with driving under the influence, unsafe backing and unsafe movement. She was issued a $100 bond and scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Apr. 6.

A driver traveling southbound on Route 7 on Mar. 30 did not notice that another motorist had stopped in the road to turn into a parking lot before rear-ending the vehicle. Police issued the first motorist a warning for following too close. There were no injuries.

On the same day, police say another motorist moving south on Route 107 lost control of their vehicle and struck a group of large rocks, located off the right shoulder of the road. No one was injures, and police took no further action.

On Apr. 1, police issued a motorist a warning for traveling too fast after they say the driver lost control of their vehicle while rounding a curve, and drove off into the shoulder of Portland Avenue. No one was injured.

Finally, on April 2, Redding police reported a two-vehicle crash on Route 58. No further information has been made available.
