• Ridgefield Police Charge Naugatuck Woman In Larceny Warrant Case (patch.com) — Ridgefield residents are learning more about a recent larceny case tied to an incident on East Ridge Road, after police processed a Naugatuck woman on an active town warrant. She was charged with sixth-degree larceny at Ridgefield Police Department headquarters, posted bond, and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court later this month.
   

• Lodging Business Among 21 New Businesses Registered In Ridgefield In August (patch.com) — Ridgefield's business scene expanded in August with 21 new registrations, highlighting fresh options for local services and jobs. • Out Of Time: Ridgefield Holds Off On November Public Safety Referendum, Seeks More Work On $55M Plan (patch.com) — Ridgefield leaders have decided not to place a proposed $55 million combined police and fire facility on the Nov. 3 ballot, saying they need more time to refine designs, study the Danbury Road site, and negotiate a land purchase. Officials, including board members and public safety chiefs, cited unresolved questions about costs, wetlands and zoning approvals, long‑term space needs, and public outreach, and now expect a standalone referendum at a later date.
