CT Coronavirus Hospitalizations, Positivity Rate Fall

Over 25 percent of Connecticut residents currently hospitalized with COVID-19 are fully vaccinated, according to the Dept. of Public Health

CONNECTICUT — The daily coronavirus positivity rate came back down to earth over the weekend

The Connecticut Department of Public Health is reporting that the daily positivity rate has dropped to 2.14 percent, after spiking to 4.33 percent on Friday. That's on the basis of 1,446 confirmed new cases of COVID-19 after 67,484 tests.

Hospitalizations fell over the weekend as well, by 23 beds. There are now 309 Connecticut residents having their COVID-19 treated within health care facilities in Connecticut. Of those, nearly 26 percent are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

As of Thursday, the coronavirus death toll in Connecticut is 8,447.
