Dozing Ridgefield Driver Triggers 2-Car Collision in Redding
Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — A head-on collision resulted from a driver falling asleep at the wheel on Route 7 Tuesday, the News-Times is reporting.
Richard Kudla, 73, of Ridgefield, dozed off at the wheel of his 2011 Ford F-150 truck and collided with a 2016 Dodge Ram van driven by Persaud Cheddie, 63, of Yonkers, N.Y., near the Ridgefield border.
Both men were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
