Drug Take-Back Day Oct. 17 in Ridgefield
The event is being held in cooperation with the Ridgefield Police Department and Rite Aid Pharmacy.

Ridgefield residents can turn in unused or unwanted medications at a drug take-back event.
Rite Aid Pharmacy and the Ridgefield Police Department are partnering to hold the free service from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17.
Police said this was an opportunity for people to dispose of medications anonymously without having to leave their cars.

The event will be held at Rite Aid of Ridgefield, 125 Danbury Rd.
All collected medications will be taken to an incineration facility to be destroyed.

As a reminder, police said there is a drug take-back box in the front lobby of police headquarters, 76 East Ridge Rd., which is available 24 hours throughout the year.
