
family hike at Bennetts Pond State Park, taking in all of nature's colors, takes place 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. The park's 440 acres features a large pond and is at the southern end of the extensive Ives Trail System. It also connects Ridgefield's own .
Participants will meet at Bennetts Pond State Park parking lot on Bennetts Pond Road in Ridgefield. Because of the terrain, hikers should be 5 years old and above or be carried throughout. No strollers, please.
Discovery Center members are free; non-members pay $7.
