Star Gazing at Star Park

The Discovery Center will hold a stargazing event at the Ridgefield Star Park, Saturday, September 17th, starting at 8:00 P.M. There will be views of gaseous nebulae in the Milky Way and distant galaxies.  Several early fall constellations will also be observed.  Participants will learn about nearby planets by helping to assemble a model of the solar system.  All ages are welcome to attend. Participants may want to bring a sweater, insect repellant, flashlight and a lawn chair. Park in the Bark Park (Dog Park) lot and walk up the hill at the far end (south).  Please follow this link http://www.starpark.org/park/map.html for a map and directions to Star Park in Ridgefield.
