Summer Camp & Activities Fair at the Rec Center

The fifth annual Summer Camp and Activity Fair sponsored by the Newcomers Club of Ridgefield will be held on Wednesday March 21st at the Ridgefield Parks and Recreation Center, 195 Danbury Road.  There will be two sessions:  9:30am to 11:30am and 7:00pm to 9:00pm.   “It’s never too early to plan ahead!” said Karen Rolfini-Beckenstein, Newcomers Co-Vice President of Community Affairs.  “All are welcome to attend this free event featuring many area camps offering programs for all ages.”  Camp directors and staff members will discuss programs in sports, recreation, martial arts, dance, art, theater, nature, horseback riding, foreign language, academics and more.  "This is a successful event every year”, added Co-VP of Community Affairs Jill Rotunno. “It's a great opportunity for parents to discover the many wonderful summer programs available in our area!"

No RSVP is required and children are welcome.  Music and face painting will be provided by the Enchanted Garden at the morning session, and local store Practically Green has donated bags for giveaways.

The Newcomers Club is a non-profit group that has been welcoming new residents to Ridgefield since 1967 and provides year-round activities for families, singles, couples, and children.
