Trying to teach your child to swim can be such a daunting task. Why not get help from trained professionals? With classes starting on September 12, it’s not too late to sign up for fall swim lessons at the Ridgefield Recreation Center. As an added personal touch, the swim instructors will be hosting a Meet & Greet Open House on September 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. People who have signed up for fall swim lessons are invited to come and meet the Recreation Center’s dedicated aquatic staff.
“By getting to know their instructor beforehand, people will be more at ease when their lessons start and by attending the open house, they will have a better understanding of what is to be expected and how to achieve optimum results,” stated Collene Gregory, the Wellness Operations Supervisor. “We’re excited to start our fall session and we hope to see everyone at the open house,” she added.
The Recreation Center offers parent & child classes, swim lessons for preschoolers to adults, and American Red Cross swim lessons for children who are 6 to 12 years old. As an added member benefit, private swim lessons are available to Recreation Center members who are 3 years old and up.
