Former BOE Member Endorses Malhotra-Vote Row A all the way

Current Chair Malhotra brings steady leadership, responsible budgets and proven track record

Ridgefield’s students deserve the ongoing and steady leadership that Tina Malhotra has provided as Chair of the Board of Education. Her collaborative work with the Board, school leadership and Ridgefield community has maximized taxpayer dollars to provide an excellent education for every student. Tina’s commitment to transparency and her willingness to listen to all constituencies are essential for building trust. Her desire to embrace new educational insights, while maintaining respect for the bottom line, have led to the healthy, inclusive and smart initiatives that our children deserve. Tina speaks passionately about how each child needs to feel safe, belong and be known in school; she knows that education goes beyond the 3 R’s. This understanding of what all children need to not only learn, but thrive, will ensure that she’ll take children’s social-emotional well being and learning styles into account when providing direction and leadership. Under her leadership, funding was secured to realize the vision for a new Alternative High School and Transition Program. Many of our students will greatly benefit from these programs. Throughout her stewardship, fiscally responsible budgets in which spending focused on the students’ learning and achievement were passed. She believes that the work of the Board of Education is about investing in education. She will continue to ensure that our tax dollars are well spent. I believe that Tina Mahotra is an advocate for every student and family in the Ridgefield Public Schools. If re-elected, all children will continue to benefit from her experience and commitment to our schools. Please join me in voting for her on Row A. Our children are the future.
