Four Arrested After Attack on Car in Ridgefield

Two men reportedly retaliated after a car belonging to one of the men's mother was attacked.

Two separate attacks led to the arrest of four men in Ridgefield, the News Times reports.

According to the paper, a Great Hill Road woman reported to police that her car was attacked. She also told police that her son and his friend were going to a home on Walnut Grove Road in retaliation to the incident.

A man at the Walnut Grove Road home was hit in the leg with a piece of wood, the paper reports. Police also found two grams of cocaine and 25 grams of marijuana at the residence.

Daniel Benoit, 19, of Ridgefield Matthew Obernier, 18, of Ridgefield were both charged with first-degree criminal mischief, the paper reports. Jason Mayerman, 20, of Ridgefield was charged with third-degree assault and first degree criminal mischief. Joseph Santoro, 18, of Danbury was charged with first-degree criminal mischief and is also facing drug charges.
