Last year, the Ridgefield Theatre Barn received an $80,000 grant from the SBA's Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — 4th District Congressman Jim Himes visited the Ridgefield Theatre Barn Thursday, joined by State Representative Berger-Girvalo and State Senator Julie Kushner.

Last year, the Barn received an $80,000 grant from the Small Business Association's Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program.

The community theater is scheduled to begin work on a $1.3 million expansion May 1. A larger concession stand in the lobby, new classrooms, a black-box theater, and more bathrooms, wing space, prop and costume shops are all included in the construction plans.
