July 4th Fireworks 2022 Near Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

What: The Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center will once again host its July 4th Celebration, honoring both the birth of the nation and the opening day of the museum in 1966.

The historic tavern museum will be open for station tours, have a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and offer family games, activities and slices of watermelon for visitors of all ages. Musical entertainment by the Angry O'Haras. All programming is free and open to the public.

Where: The KTM&HC is located at 152 Main Street in Ridgefield.

When: The celebration will be held July 4 from 1-3 p.m.


What: Fairfield County Bank is sponsoring fireworks on July 9.

Where: Ridgefield High School, 700 North Salem Road. Parking passes are $20 per car, and available at Town Hall, Fairfield County Bank and online here.

Parking will be available at Ridgefield High School, Scotts Ridge Middle School, Barlow Mountain and Scotland Elementary. Shuttle buses will be provided from the elementary schools to the high school. Handicap parking is also provided at the high school. Participants should have their printed order confirmation or ticket on their dashboard and ready at the gate. Tickets are required at the gate whether or not you have a parked car at the high school. Only one ticket is needed per car.

When: July 9. Gates open at 6 p.m.


What: More fireworks! The Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department will conclude its annual carnival with a pyrotechnics display on Saturday night.

Bracelets for rides will be sold every night for $30. Amusement rides, game trailers, food, ice cream, fried dough, cotton candy and souvenir sales will all be at the carnival site.

Where: East Ridge Middle School Field, at 10 East Ridge Road. The annual Fireman’s Parade will take place on June 2, starting at 6:30 p.m. on Main Street.

When: The carnival runs June 22-25, from 6-10 p.m., with fireworks launching at dusk on the 25th. Fireworks will be visible from anywhere near the carnival grounds.


What: The Wilton Parks & Recreation Department's Freedom Run 5K Road Race.

Where: The Wilton High School stadium track at 395 Danbury Road

When: The Freedom Run begins at 8:30 a.m. on July 4. Participants should arrive by 8:15 a.m.


What: Wilton Live DJ and Fireworks Show

Where: Wilton High School at 395 Danbury Road

When: Live DJ music begins at 5:00 p.m. on July 4th, followed by fireworks at sundown, approximately 9:00 p.m.


What: The Danbury Volunteer Fire Department will be sponsoring the city's annual Independence Day fireworks display.

Where: Candlewood Lake

When: Fireworks will commence at dusk on June 25. Rain date is June 26.


What: The Redding Historical Society's 6th Annual Redding Rock'n Roots Revival and Fireworks Show

Where: Lonetown Farm, 43 Lonetown Road, Redding

When: June 25. Live music starts at 4 p.m., fireworks at 9:00 p.m. Rain date is June 26.


What: Weston's Family 4th Celebration, presented by Weston Parks & Recreation and Fairfield County Bank

Where: Weston Middle School, 135 School Road, Weston

When: July 4. Weston Middle School gates open at 4:30 p.m. There will be no entry from Lords Highway after 7:00 p.m. Organizers are encouraging residents to arrive before 8:00 p.m. to avoid the fireworks traffic rush.


What: New Canaan's 2022 Family 4th of July Celebration

Where: Waveny Park, New Canaan

When: July 2. Rain dates are July 3 and July 9.


What: Westport's 2022 Independence Day Fireworks Celebration

Where: Compo Beach

When: June 30. Rain date is July 1.
