Kathryn Whalen, Real Estate Broker, 71
The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 16.
Kathryn (Kathy Smart) Whalen, 71, a long-time resident of Ridgefield and real estate broker, died on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Danbury Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of Martin P. Whalen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 10:15 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Ridgefield. Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield, on Friday, Nov. 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kathy's name may be made to one or both charities: American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312; and/or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897.
