Lease Renewed for Baseball Field in Ridgefield
The field in Branchville has mostly been used for youth baseball programs.
A lease for the baseball field off Playground Road in Branchville was recently approved at a town meeting, the Ridgefield Press reports.
The four-acre field which is owned by the Branchville Civic Association will be used for recreational, social and cultural purposes.
At the March 18 public hearing, members of the association said they want to take more active roles and make the field nice for the neighborhood, the paper reports.
A baseball field on the east side of Playground Road and a small parking area and a building with restrooms on the west side comes as a part of the leased area.
