Main Street in Ridgefield Has Reopened After Tuesday's Power Outages

Strong wind gusts knocked out power and caused road closures in downtown Ridgefield Tuesday morning.

RIDGEFIELD, CT-- The News Times is reporting that Main Street in Ridgefield is now open after Tuesday's strong wind gusts caused a large tree to knock out power between Gilbert Street and Olcott Way.

More than 200 Eversource customers in Ridgefield were without power Tuesday morning, along with thousands across the state.

A Wind Advisory was issued by the National Weather Service through 12 p.m. Tuesday for Fairfield County. Winds of 20 to 30 mph were reported.
