Media Seeks Records Revealing New Details About Ridgefield Fire Chief's Departure: Report
Kevin Tappe resigned during a Jan. 4 meeting of the Board of Selectmen after an investigation into an alleged policy violation.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — A local media group has filed a Freedom of Information complaint to gain new information on the end of ex-Ridgefield Fire Department chief Kevin Tappe, who resigned from his position following an investigation into unspecified "policy violations, reports the Ridgefield Press.
The complaint filed by Hearst Media Services Connecticut LLC seeks to gain access to “the draft investigation report recently completed by the Human Resources Department regarding an alleged policy violation by Fire Chief Kevin Tappe," as well as other reports in connections to the end of Tappe's retirement, reports the Ridgefield Press.
