More Severe Weather Possible in Ridgefield

A band of severe weather rolled through the state this morning, and more is possible, and we'll let you know when it's expected to end.

Depending on where you live you’ve already experienced severe weather early this morning and it’s forecast to possibly stick around through the afternoon.

The National Weather Service says for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties there is a chance for more showers and a thunderstorm up until noon, and the chance still exists for thunderstorms until 3 p.m.

Some heavy winds and rains are possible during this time period. The weather service writes the chance of storms decreases after 3 p.m. but an isolated storm is still possible until 10 p.m.

For Hartford and Tolland counties a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” has been issued for a few strong storms possibly beginning late morning and lasting through the afternoon.

Damaging wind gusts and hail are possible, and the weather service doesn’t rule out the slight chance of a tornado up north.
