Mountainside Pulls Rehab Facility Application in Ridgefield: Report
The controversial plan was to build a 17-bed facility on Old West Mountain Road.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Mountainside Treatment Center has withdrawn its application to build a 17-bed rehabilitation facility on Old West Mountain Road in Ridgefield, reports The News Times.
The controversial facility was opposed by a widespread group of residents, who cited increased traffic, a potential drop in property values and safety among their concerns against the proposal.
In its letter to the Planning and Zoning Commission pulling the application, Mountainside acknowledged the opposition and stressed that it did not want to create "disharmony in the community," according to the publication.
