Ridgefield Residents Voice Concerns over Proposed Drug Rehabilitation Facility: Report
The treatment center, named Mountainside, would be located on Old West Mountain Road in Ridgefield.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Dozens of town residents turned out this weekto oppose an application by the Mountainside drug rehabilitation center to establish a new facility on Old West Mountain Road in Ridgefield, reports the Ridgefield Press.
Residents expressed their concerns during a public hearing of the Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday night, concerns that included traffic, a potential drop in property values, safety and others. In February of last year, Mountainside Treatment Center announced it was leasing space in Wilton for a facility.
Mountainside wants to combine four residential properties and build a 17-bed facility with 15 parking spaces. The commission, which heard about a dozen dissenters, continued the public hearing to Feb. 7 to allow the two dozen additional speakers who they did not hear to voice their opinions.
