New Construction Work Continues On Ridgefield Main Street Project

Digging for three test pits along Main Street for fire hydrant relocation and verification of existing water main conditions is scheduled.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Work is continuing on the Main Street Project, with new groundbreaking scheduled for the week of July 11.

Richards Construction will be digging three test pits along Main Street for fire hydrant relocation and verification of existing water main conditions.

This work will begin at 7 p.m. at the entrance to the CVS parking lot, the intersection of Catoonah and Main Street, and the intersection of Bailey and Main Street.

No significant traffic disruption is anticipated as a result of the work, according to a news release from the town.
