New Craft Brewery Opens In Ridgefield On Saturday

The craft brewery, Ridgefield's first, is located at 137 Ethan Allen Hwy (Rt 7), about 1/4 mile north of the Branchville train station.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Nod Hill Brewery, Ridgefield’s first craft brewery, is scheduled to open officially this Saturday, October 28, at noon, according to co-owner David Kaye.

“It has been well over a year in the making for us, so we are beyond thrilled to finally open our doors and see our dream come to fruition,” said Kaye in a statement.

The brewery, which will be open until 9 p.m. on Saturday, will be serving seven different beers "in full pours, flights, and growlers to go." Nod Hill will also be open Sunday, the 29th, from noon to 5 p.m.

A creatively designed menu of brews will include a pale ale, IPA, double IPA, Porter and
Trappist-inspired single and double ales. There will also be a gravity cask of coffee porter. Additionally, the town’s famed Hoodoo Brown will offer authentic Texas barbecue for sale on-site from 1 p.m. to
6 p.m.

Added Kaye, “Our guiding principles have been to make the kind of beer we love to drink and hold our brewing process to the highest standards. We are excited to bring something fresh, unique, and fun to our community.”

With an old-school building design combined with the cozy pub-like atmosphere of the taproom,
the brewery is set to be a welcoming space for friends and family alike.
Following the opening weekend, regular hours will be Thursday from 4pm-8pm, Friday 12pm-8pm, Saturday 12pm-9pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm.
