New Curbs, Sidewalks, Walls: Work Continues On Ridgefield Main Street
The heavy equipment rolling onto the site will force the closure of a 60-foot section of Prospect Street on Friday night.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Work is continuing on the Main Street Project, as workers prepare to lay curbing and sidewalks, along with a new granite wall. The new installations are designed to enhance the realignment at Prospect and Main Streets.
The heavy equipment rolling onto the site will force the closure of a 60-foot section of Prospect Street beginning at the intersection of Prospect and Main Streets on Friday, Sept. 16, at 10 p.m.
As the roadway is rebuilt, and new asphalt poured, the intersection will remain closed to traffic until Sunday morning, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. Vehicles will be able to enter and exit from the east end of Prospect Street and use all adjacent parking lots. Electronic billboards and detour signs will be in place to guide traffic.
