New Ridgefield Liquor Store Opens
There has been a liquor store at its current location since the 1930s.

Looking for a new place in Ridgefield to stock up on wines and liquors?
According to the Ridgefield Press, Cheers Ridgefield recently opened its doors on Main Street, a site at which there has been a liquor store since the 1930s.
Owners Michael and Kathy Evans designed the store based on establishments in New York City, the Press said, with hardwood floors, wide aisles and a clean, modern look.

Michael Evans is a former New York software executive. His wife works in the advertising business.
The Press said the store’s soft opening was the weekend before Labor Day.

The store’s website lists featured products including craft, international and domestic beers; reasonably priced, popular wines and a full selection of spirits.
It says there are tastings every day at the 393 Main St. location in Ridgefield.
