Carpenter Sky Cole, 73, is running for election to the Ridgefield Zoning Board of Appeals as an alternate on the Democrat ticket. He has two children who have been educated in Ridgefield schools and at the University of Connecticut.

Why are you seeking this office?
I've enjoyed fulfilling my sense of civic responsibility for the dozen or more years I've been on the Zoning Board of Appeals, but now I feel I would be better fulfilling my civic responsibility by giving others the chance to do the same but stay available to sit in if one of the full members is cannot make a meeting.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Fifty years as an independent contractor helped get my elected initially, and the years since on the Board
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
'Any fool can do it right; you have to know what you're doing to correct your mistakes'.
