Police Charge ‘Housekeeper’ for Not Stopping Teen Alcohol Party

Ridgefield police were called to break up a teen bash where alcohol was made available.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police arrested a Danbury housekeeper for not keeping alcohol out of the hands of a house full of minors.

Police were dispatched to 141 Nursery Road at 8:25 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18. There they found "a large youth gathering," according to the police report, with "alcohol in plain view."

Police arrested Margaret Heredia-Mineolti, 49, of Mill Plain Road in Danbury, described in the report as a "family friend/housekeeper," who was the only adult present in the midst of about 30 teens. She was charged with failure to halt possession of alcohol to minors.

Heredia-Mineolti was released at the scene with a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Nov. 5.

"All the youths contacted their parents for safe rides home," said Capt. Shawn Platt of the Ridgefield PD.
