Police Department Restructuring Plan Approved In Ridgefield
The police union recently voted to approve the plan.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The police union voted to approve a department restructuring, Police Chief Jeff Kreitz informed members of the police commission.
The union voted 24-11 to approve the plan, according to meeting minutes. The number of Lieutenants will go from five to three and the number of Sergeants will go from five to six. This will allow for a Lieutenant and two Sergeants to be assigned to each of the three shifts.
Chairman George Kain recognized union leaders and Kreitz for working in concert to come to this agreement.
