Redding Man Arrested for Damage to Shadow Lake Field: Police
The field was extensively damaged in early August.

A Redding man is facing charges for the damage to Shadow Lake Ball Field in Ridgefield.
According to police, Jesse Beatty, 21, turned himself in to police headquarters on Oct. 1 after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. Police determined that Beatty was driving the vehicle that caused an estimated $2,000 to $3,000 worth of damage to the field in early August.

Beatty was charged with first-degree criminal mischief and released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 15.
