According to a report in the Hartford Courant, citing a company statement, the new 72,000-square-foot facility "will handle production of active pharmaceutical ingredients used in early development activities."
U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., and Rep. Jim Himes, D-4th District, reportedly both praised the project, which is scheduled for completion in 2014.

Meanwhile the 63,000 square foot Safety Assessment Building is scheduled for completion in 2013.
