Ridgefield A Better Chance Seeks House Cook
Part-time position preparing evening meals for up to 8 scholars, 2 resident staff members, and occasional guests.

Ridgefield A Better Chance (RABC) is a community-based program that supports motivated young women of color from underserved communities by providing access to quality education and a nurturing home environment while they attend Ridgefield High School.
We are seeking a caring, organized House Cook skilled in the culinary arts to plan and prepare evening meals for up to eight scholars, two resident staff members, and occasional guests. This hands-on position plays a significant role in supporting our scholars' overall well-being and success.
Responsibilities include:
▪ Planning and preparing nutritious weekly menus and dinners, taking into account students' food preferences
▪ Shopping within budget for food and household supplies plus maintaining the kitchen space and household inventory
▪ Willingness to coordinate and reevaluate with staff and Scholars’ meal offerings throughout the entire year.
This position runs Monday through Friday for the 2025-2026 school year. It starts on August 25th, the students' first day in residence, and ends on the last day, the students are in residence (TBD in June), based on the Ridgefield Public School calendar. The hours are typically 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
