Ridgefield Troop 116 is known as the hiking troop due to the week long backpacking trips we run each summer to some of our nation's most beautiful national parks including Yosemite and The Grand Tetons. However, we have something for everyone in our Troop.

We’re an organized and active bunch, meeting Monday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at Jesse Lee Church. The three aims of Troop 116 are leadership, advancement, and service. Highlights of the troop include:
• Organized troop meetings
• Nurturing advancement program for first year scouts
• Fun monthly activities and campouts
• Easy, one-day fund raising: Christmas Tree Pickup in early January
• Active adult participation. 1:3 ratio—one adult for every three scouts
• High percentage of Eagle attainment
