Ridgefield Condo Appeals to Empty-nesters
The housing development on Sunset Lane has not been built yet.
A new condominium project in Ridgefield, yet to be built, is almost sold out.
The new Coach Homes on Sunset Lane is a 55-and-older development, according to the Ridgefield Press.
Out of 39 units offered on a pre-construction bases, only four are not under contract or have a binder.
Martin Handshy, a principal in the project, said he thought the driving force was empty-nesters looking to downsize from a suburban large home to a condo with fewer responsibilties.
Coach Homes is located on part of the former Schlumberger petroleum research lab facility.
