Ridgefield Couple Organizes 5K for Stillbirth Awareness
The event will be held May 2 in South Salem.

A Ridgefield couple has organized a 5K for stillbirth awareness.
According to the Ridgefield Press, Hilary Cohlan Hughes gave birth to a stillborn child in January 2013. Since then, her and her husband Tyler have organized Oliver’s 5K fundraising run/walk, which will be held May 2 at Meadow Pond School, Route 123 in South Salem, New York. The 5K will begin at 9 a.m.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Star Legacy Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to stillbirth research and education.
So far, 90 people have signed up for the race, the paper reports. The couple is hoping for at least 100 participants.
