Ridgefield Dad Who Left Son in Hot Car Arrested for Criminally Negligent Homicide
Kyle Seitz, father of Benjamin Seitz, turned himself in to the Ridgefield Police after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest.

A Ridgefield father who left his 15-month-old son in his car all day while he went to work last July, was arrested on Tuesday for the boy’s death. Kyle Seitz has been charged with criminally negligent homicide, according to Fox News CT.
Benjamin Seitz passed away on July 7 due to hypothermia on a hot summer day in the high 80’s. Benjamin was supposed to be dropped off at daycare that morning by his father, but never arrived, according to police. Mr. Seitz discovered the child that evening and rushed him to Danbury Hospital around 6 p.m., where the toddler was pronounced dead.
On Aug. 21 the state’s medical examiner’s office ruled the baby’s death a homicide caused by hypothermia.
