RIDGEFIELD, CT — Closing sales that have gone on for months will end Friday, along with the demise of Dover Saddlery in Ridgefield and companywide.

The local location of the equestrian supply chain has been at 720 Branchville Road.

Sunday is the final day, said a Facebook post Wednesday morning that also outlines 80 to 90 percent off everything.

Former U.S. Equestrian Team members founded the company in 1975 in Wellesley, MA. It specialized in equipment for English-style riders and their horses. Dover grew from a single shop into a prominent brand.

A full-inventory liquidation via going-out-of-business sales across its roughly three dozen locations thus began.

The Manchester store is set to close Friday. It has been the only other Connecticut location.
