Ridgefield Fall Athletes Playing at In-State Division I Schools
Six student-athletes from Ridgefield are competing this fall for one of Connecticut's seven Division I universities.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — More than 350 student-athletes from Connecticut, including six from Ridgefield, are continuing their academic and sports endeavors at one of the state's seven Division I universities this fall, based on rosters provided by those institutions.
A total of 375 competitors have chosen to stay close to home while participating in 13 Division I fall sports. Glastonbury has 13 student-athletes on in-state D-I rosters, Danbury has 12, Norwalk 11 and Shelton 10.
Following are breakdowns by university, by county and by sport, with links to the home pages of each school's athletic department. Note: several rosters for men's cross country and women's swimming, cross country, rowing, rugby and bowling had not yet been made available by publication time.
