Ridgefield Fire Captain Retires After 30 Years
Ridgefield Fire Capt. Dave McDevitt announced his retirement this week.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield Fire Capt. Dave McDevitt announced his retirement this week. He has served the Department and the town of Ridgefield for 30 years.
“Although it is tough to say goodbye, we wish Dave many, many years of health and happiness in his new and future endeavors,” the Ridgefield Professional Firefighters wrote on their Facebook page. “From the senior guys, all the way down to the new probie, we truly thank you for your years of dedicated service and commitment in bringing this department forward.”
It will be the job of the Board of Selectman to fill the new vacancy.
