Ridgefield Firefighters Hone Skills To New Levels

Ridgefield professional firefighters continue to keep their non-smoke eating skills sharp.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield professional firefighters continue to keep their non-smoke eating skills honed.

Crews who recently completed ice and cold water rescue training moved on last week to "Man vs. Machine."

One timely exercise simulated an attempt to free an arm caught in a snowblower. Live input and training were headed by retired firefighter Tim Nobes, an expert in all rescue drills, calls, and training, according to fire officials.
