Ridgefield Firefighters Respond with Mutual Aid While Danbury Crews Battled Downtown Blaze

The fire occurred in the fourth floor of a Main Street building in Danbury on Sunday afternoon.

RIDGEFIELD, CT-- Ridgefield fire crews responded with mutual aid while Danbury firefighters worked to extinguish a fire that broke out in downtown Danbury on Sunday, according to WTNH.

Fire officials said that the fire was in the fourth floor apartment in a building located at 111 Main Street which is mixed occupancy, according to the report.

NBC Connecticut News said that there were no injuries in the 3-alarm fire which drew fire crews from Ridgefield and New Fairfield for mutual aid.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Danbury Fire Department’s Marshal’s Division.
