Ridgefield Football Drubs Fairfield Ludlowe, 41-0

Connor Rowe throws four TD passes and also rushes for a score to lead the Tigers' attack

There was nothing wrong with Ridgefield's offense on this night.

Quarterback Connor Rowe had a part in five touchdowns Friday as the Tigers drubbed Fairfield Ludlowe 41-0 for their first win of the season.

Last week, the Tigers (1-1) were held with a touchdown in a 16-3 loss at Ridgefield in which they committed five turnovers.

A week late, however, Rowe torched Ludlowe's secondary, throwing four TD passes, and also scored on an 8-yard run.

Ridgefield's offense did start slowly Friday, as Adrian Jones' 20-yard interception return resulted in the only score in the first quarter.

In the second period, however, Rowe threw TD strikes of 16 yards to Sam Gravitte and 75 yards to Jack Heller for a 21-0 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, Rowe tossed a 13-yard TD to Heller and scored on his TD run to make it 34-0 after three periods.

Rowe capped the scoring with a 12-yard TD toss to Gravitte in the fourth quarter.

Ludlowe, which dropped to 0-2, did not cross midfield the entire game. Seven of Ridgefield's possessions began in Falcons' territory.
