Ridgefield Girls Lacrosse Drops 16-15 Thriller To Rival Danbury

Shauna Norris and Liana Mathias each scored five goals Friday, but it wasn't quite enough as the Ridgefield girls lacrosse team dropped a 16-15 decision to rival Danbury.
Caroline Ogden added two goals for the Tigers (7-3, 2-3), who held a 10-8 lead at halftime. Norris also contributed two assists, finishing with seven points.
Maggie Curran, Kathryn Cholko, Hannah Dighton and Taylor Fischer each scored one goal for Ridgefield while Eliza Marcus and Fischer registering three assists apiece in the high-scoring affair.

Danbury (5-2, 3-2) received plenty of offense from Gina Newsome and Andrea Tarisi, who each registered five goals. Tarisi added three assists for an eight-point afternoon.
Raven Winters pumped in four goals for the Hatters, with Tori Doyle and Pauline Kaplan contributing one each.
