Tigers fall to undefeated Rams, 7-0
The Ridgefield girls tennis team lost 7-0 to undefeated New Canaan on Saturday in the FCIAC quarterfinals. New Canaan improved to 17-0.The results:
SINGLES: Kate Mannelly (NC) def. Shannon Stainken Retired; Courtney Gallagher (NC) def. Kelly Janasek, 6-3, 6-3; Caitlin Gallagher (NC) def. Gemma Howard, 6-0, 6-1; Jensen Lee (NC) def. Alyssa Morrison, 7-5, 6-0.
DOUBLES: Kimmy Glerum-Sara Greene (NC) def. Maxine Gorelick-Sophie Nicolella, 6-0, 6-2; Amanda Merijan-Kristin Laub (NC) def. Leah Petrucelli-Olivia Beatty, 6-1, 1-6, 6-4, 6-0; Phoebe-Wilks-Kate Howard (NC) def. Christy Marchand-Becca Brand, 6-2, 6-2.
