Ridgefield Liquor Stores Checked For Selling to Minors
The results didn't turn out well for 60 percent of the town's stores.

RIDGEFIELD, CT - A check by the Department of Consumer Protection on liquor stores in Ridgefield and Redding selling alcohol to minors didn’t turn out well. The Ridgefield Press reports sixty percent of liquor stores in Ridgefield failed the test conducted at the request of the police department on Dec. 4.
The checks were conducted by DCP agents with the enlisted help of a 20-year-old volunteer.
Stores that failed the test will be referred to the DCP’s liquor commission. Both police departments ordered the checks after hearing rumors of underage college students returning to town being able to purchase alcohol locally.
